Classical Mannequins Created by Digital Artists

August 29th, 2012

Ever wondered what a mannequin might look like if it was made in the ancient world?

No? Well, neither had we to be honest.

But if you did have the inclination to see what they might look like, now you can!

By using clever photo manipulation techniques, several world famous classical statues have been adorned in modern clothing, much like fashion mannequins.

Entitled ‘Street Stone’, the images were created by French photographer Leo Caillard and art director Alexis Persani.

By getting friends to pose in similar positions to the sculptures and then ‘stacking’ the images on top of each other they were able to achieve the incredible shots.

The artistic duo hoped the incredible images would show how society changes over time.

We also think it shows how good clothes look on the human figure and how effective mannequins can be as shop fittings – even ones made out of stone!

Of course you can always check out our best selling range of mannequins and busts as well.

Although not quite as detailed as these statues they’re probably more in-line with the modern retailers budget!
