A train station on the Isle of Wight is on the hunt for some suitable mannequins to decorate their premises.
Although the station already owns some mannequins, they’re on the lookout for some more of the classic shop fittings to adorn the site.
Currently ‘Albert’ (pictured) sits on a bench with a suitcase and newspaper.
Mary Collins, town councillor, was quoted as saying “People say the dummies make the station.”
Many visitors to the station are caught out and mistake the mannequin dummies for real people, even talking to them before realising.
Brading, a Grade II-listed station has recently seen a number of renovations.
The station also boasts a visitors centre and is something of a local tourist attraction.
Dating back to 1864, the Brading station is located on the main Island Line between the towns of Shanklin and Ryde.
Ms Collis has called on any shops or those with unwanted mannequins to donate to the station.
