IT DOSE WHAT I WANTED IT TO DO
The coat hanger rail is very sturdy and string when fitted to the wall. I have had to add foam padding to the end of the hanger bar as it represents a sharp solid metal point projecting into the customer space and without the padding I fear that customers (possibly playing children) could result in a serious injury if they were to trip or fall towards the end of the bar. I have used foam pipe langing wrapped with your insulation tape to secure and reduce the potential impact of this risk.

added: I think it is probably more of a design consideration rather than a problem with the manufacturing. The rails are very strong and sturdy, just from my perspective a shame that the ends form a sharp point (a rounded end for example would present less risk).
