For classrooms and low-risk areas, standard felt boards are fine. However, for corridors, stairwells, and escape routes, you MUST use fire-resistant noticeboards (Class 0 or Class B) to comply with fire safety regulations.

Yes. Most of our felt boards are compatible with Velcro hook fasteners. This is great for schools as it avoids sharp pins and keeps the board looking newer for longer.

How do I install the board?
Our aluminium framed boards come with a corner fixing kit. You screw through the plastic corners into the wall (plugs and screws provided) and then clip on a cover cap to hide the screw head.
What is the difference between felt and loop nylon?
Felt is a softer, wool-like fabric primarily for pins (and some Velcro). Loop Nylon is a tougher, synthetic fabric specifically designed to be "Velcro-friendly" and is more durable in high-use areas.
Can I hang them in portrait orientation?
Yes. All our standard framed boards can be mounted either in landscape (horizontal) or portrait (vertical) orientation to fit your available wall space.
Are frameless boards available?
Yes. We stock frameless felt boards which are wrapped in fabric to the edge. These can be mounted side-by-side to create a continuous "notice wall" or acoustic panel.
