Retractable Queue Barriers: The Professional Standard
Control flow, improve safety, and maximise space. Displaysense offers the UK’s most reliable range of Retractable Belt Barriers (Stanchions). Designed for high-footfall management, these posts are the industry standard for airports, retail stores, banks, and event venues. Our systems allow you to deploy instant, safe queue lines that guide customers efficiently and prevent crowding.
Whether you need a heavy-duty stainless steel stanchion for a hotel lobby or a rugged weather-proof post for an outdoor event, we have the solution. Fully compatible with Wall Mounted Barriers and A4 Sign Holders, our systems give you complete control over your floor plan.
Safety Braking System
Every retractable unit features Centrifugal Braking. This safety mechanism ensures the belt retracts slowly if released, preventing dangerous "snap-backs" that could injure customers.
Universal Fit
Expand your current setup easily. Our Universal Belt Ends clip securely into most major barrier brands (including Tensabarrier), allowing seamless integration.
4-Way Connection
Create any layout. Each post has one extendable belt and three receiving slots, allowing for straight lines, 90° corners, and T-junctions from a single stanchion.
Anti-Topple Bases
Stability is key. Our posts use heavy-duty concrete/cast-iron bases with rubber floor protectors to prevent tipping in busy crowds and protect flooring.
Extended Belts
Reduce costs. We offer belt lengths from 2.1m to 3.4m. Longer belts mean fewer posts are required to cover large areas, saving money on equipment.
Custom Branding
Make it yours. We offer bespoke belt printing for logos and safety messages. Available in varied post finishes including Chrome, Black, and Stainless Steel.
The Displaysense Advantage: Engineered for Traffic
Displaysense is a UK Manufacturer of commercial crowd control systems. We understand that a barrier must be more than just a visual guide; it's a safety device.
That is why our retractable units undergo rigorous cycle testing to ensure the spring mechanisms last for years of daily use. Unlike cheap imports that lose tension or snap, our barriers maintain a taut, professional line day after day, keeping your venue safe and organised.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far apart should I space the posts?
Ideally 1.8m to 2.8m apart. Although standard belts are 2m long, we recommend spacing posts at approx. 90% of the belt length (e.g., 1.8m) to maintain tension and prevents the belt from sagging or the post from leaning.
Can I connect them to a wall?
Yes. You can use a Wall Receiver Clip to terminate a belt from a floor post directly onto a wall. Alternatively, install a dedicated Wall Mounted Barrier Unit to save floor space entirely.
Are they suitable for outdoors?
Only specific models. Standard metal posts are designed for indoor use. For car parks or festivals, please select our Outdoor Range which features rust-proof plastic posts and water-fillable bases.
Do you offer custom branding on belts?
Yes. We offer Custom Printed Belts featuring your company logo or safety messages (e.g., "Social Distancing"). This reinforces brand identity and is available on bulk orders.
What is a 'Twin Belt' barrier?
A Twin Belt barrier features two belts on the same post (one high, one low). This design is DDA Compliant (detectable by the visually impaired with canes) and prevents children from ducking under the line.
