Outdoor Queuing Barriers: Weatherproof Crowd Control
Durable, stable, and weather-resistant. Displaysense offers a specialist range of Outdoor Queuing Barriers designed to withstand the UK climate. Perfect for construction sites, festivals, parking lots, and garden centres, these barriers are engineered to resist rust, wind, and UV fading while maintaining effective crowd control.
Our collection features rugged plastic post and chain systems, heavy-duty retractable belts with weatherproof casings, and high-visibility options for safety zones. Combine them with outdoor signage to create clear, organized entry points anywhere.
100% Rust Proof
Built for rain. Our outdoor posts are manufactured from high-grade UPVC plastic or powder-coated steel, ensuring they won't corrode or rust even if left outside permanently.
Water Fillable Bases
Stability in wind. The hollow bases can be filled with water or kiln-dried sand. This adds significant weight (up to 8kg+) to prevent the barrier blowing over, yet remains lightweight for transport when empty.
High Visibility
Safety compliant. Available in Red/White or Yellow/Black chevrons. These high-contrast colours ensure the barriers are clearly visible to pedestrians and vehicles in car parks or construction zones.
Chain or Belt
Flexible options. Choose Retractable Belts for a neat, professional look, or Plastic Chain for a rugged, cost-effective solution that covers long distances easily.
Easy Storage
Space saving. Many of our plastic posts can be dismantled, and the bases emptied of water, making them lightweight and compact to store when not in use.
Uneven Ground Ready
Versatile footprint. The wider, hollow bases are designed to sit stably on tarmac, grass, or gravel, unlike flat metal bases which require smooth indoor flooring.
The Displaysense Advantage: UK Weather Ready
Displaysense is a UK Manufacturer familiar with the unpredictable British weather. We don't just sell indoor posts re-labelled for outside; we engineer specific solutions.
Our outdoor barriers utilize UV-stabilized plastics that won't fade or crack in the sun, and sealed belt cassettes to prevent water ingress. Whether it's a rainy festival queue or a sunny pub garden, our barriers are built to perform year-round.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I leave them outside permanently?
Yes. Our outdoor range is designed to be weather-resistant. The UPVC plastic posts and rubber bases will not rust. However, in extreme gale-force winds, we recommend storing them indoors or ensuring bases are fully filled with sand for maximum weight.
Do I fill the base with water or sand?
Either works. Water is convenient and easy to empty for transport. Kiln-dried sand is heavier than water, providing superior stability for permanent installations in windy areas.
Which is better: Chain or Retractable Belt?
It depends on use. Plastic Chain is cheaper, extremely durable, and can cover long distances easily—ideal for car parks. Retractable Belts look more professional and tidy, making them better for event entrances or VIP areas.
Are they visible at night?
Yes, high-vis models are available. We stock posts in safety colours (Red/White, Yellow/Black) which provide high contrast. Some models also feature reflective strips for enhanced visibility in car parks at night.
Can I connect them to indoor posts?
Sometimes. If using retractable belts, our outdoor posts often use the same universal clip end as indoor posts. Chain posts use hooks, so they would require an adapter to connect to a belt stanchion.
