Is surface-printed belt branding the same as Tensabarrier's dye-penetration printing?
No. Surface printing applies ink or vinyl to the outer surface of the belt fabric. As the belt extends and retracts through the cassette mouth thousands of times over the product life, the cassette edge creates a repetitive friction contact that scratches and wears surface-applied branding away, leaving a degraded print appearance within months in a high-use environment. Yes, for specific outdoor models. Standard Tensabarrier posts have chrome or satin steel post bodies that are designed for indoor use and would corrode in sustained outdoor moisture exposure. The Tensabarrier Outdoor Range uses UV-stable plastic post bodies and rubber bases that resist the corrosion and UV degradation that would affect standard steel posts in outdoor positions. The outdoor models retain the same patented braking mechanism, anti-tamper locking, and military-grade webbing specification as indoor models in a housing appropriate for sustained outdoor exposure. For permanently outdoor queue positions, specify the outdoor model; do not use standard indoor steel posts in outdoor exposed positions.

Tensabarrier wall-mounted units contain the same high-quality belt cassette with patented braking and anti-tamper locking as the floor-standing posts, but mount directly to a wall rather than requiring a floor post.
