Whiteboards & Dry Wipe Boards for Education & Business
The centrepiece of effective teaching and collaboration. Displaysense offers the UK's most comprehensive range of whiteboards and dry wipe surfaces. From premium vitreous enamel boards engineered for university lecture halls to standard coated steel for office meeting rooms, we provide the durability required for professional environments.
Our collection covers every application: large wall-mounted classroom boards, flexible freestanding whiteboards on wheels for agile working, and magnetic whiteboards for displaying notices. Designed for heavy daily usage, our high-quality surfaces resist ghosting and staining, ensuring your ideas remain clear and legible.
Vitreous Enamel Steel
The School Standard. For classrooms where the board is used all day, we recommend Vitreous Enamel. Fired at 800°C, this ultra-hard surface is scratch-resistant, magnetic, and often carries a 25-year surface guarantee against ghosting.
Coated Steel (Magnetic)
Office Essential. Our magnetic whiteboards are perfect for meeting rooms. They offer a smooth writing experience and allow you to use magnets to attach notes and documents, functioning as a dual-purpose display.
Mobile Solutions
Agile Working. Need flexibility? Our freestanding whiteboards feature double-sided revolving panels and lockable castors. Ideal for open-plan offices and science labs where teams need to move ideas from a desk to a huddle space.
Planning & Grid Boards
Visual Organisation. Utilise boards with grid lines or annual planning layouts to manage staff rotas and project timelines. These are essential tools for hospital wards and HR departments.
Flipchart Compatible
Presentation Ready. Many of our mobile easels are designed to hold flipchart pads. This allows you to combine dry-wipe brainstorming with permanent paper notes during training sessions.
Huge Size Range
Up to 2400mm. From compact A4 handheld boards for students to massive 2400x1200mm wall boards for conference rooms, we stock sizes to fit every wall. We also offer joinable modular panels for whiteboard walls.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best board for a classroom?
Vitreous Enamel Steel. It is the most durable surface available, resistant to scratches and ink staining ("ghosting"), making it the most cost-effective choice for heavy daily use in schools.
What causes "ghosting" and how do I fix it?
Ghosting is caused by ink penetrating the surface (common on cheaper laminate boards) or building up over time. To fix it, use a specialist whiteboard cleaning spray and a microfibre cloth. Avoid household cleaners.
Are all whiteboards magnetic?
No. Only boards marked as "Magnetic" (steel or enamel) will hold magnets. "Non-magnetic" boards are usually made of laminate and are for writing only.
Do you accept School/NHS Purchase Orders?
Yes. We are a trusted supplier to the public sector. You can place orders via official Purchase Order for instant credit terms. Contact our team to set this up.
Can I project onto a whiteboard?
Standard gloss whiteboards can cause glare (hotspots). For interactive projectors, we recommend our semi-matt enamel boards which are designed to reduce reflection while still being writable.
How do I install a wall mounted board?
Most boards come with a corner fixing kit. You remove the corner caps, screw through the board into the wall (plugs provided), and replace the caps for a hidden finish. Larger boards may use a "split batten" or rail system.
What sizes do you stock?
We stock standard sizes like 900x600mm, 1200x900mm, 1800x1200mm, and 2400x1200mm. These fit most standard office and classroom walls.
Can I use permanent markers by mistake?
If this happens, simply write over the permanent ink with a dry wipe marker. The solvent in the fresh ink will dissolve the permanent ink, allowing you to wipe both away.
Do you offer grid lined boards?
Yes. We offer boards with faint grid lines (usually 25mm or 50mm squares) to help with writing straight or drawing graphs, perfect for math and science classrooms.
