Freestanding Noticeboards: Mobile & Portable Pinboards
Versatile display solutions for any space. Displaysense offers the UK's most adaptable range of freestanding noticeboards and mobile pin boards. Designed for environments where wall mounting isn't possible or flexibility is key, these boards are perfect for open-plan offices, school halls, NHS waiting rooms, and exhibition centres.
From single mobile noticeboards on wheels to large modular folding display kits, our collection provides instant communication zones. Available with fire-rated fabrics for compliance and double-sided surfaces for maximum impact, they are the go-to choice for temporary displays and permanent room division.
Fully Mobile
Move with ease. Our mobile noticeboards are mounted on sturdy steel frames with heavy-duty lockable castors. This allows you to wheel the board into a meeting room for a presentation and then roll it away for storage instantly.
Double Sided
Twice the space. Almost all our freestanding units are upholstered on both sides. This is ideal for open areas like university foyers or library entrances, allowing you to display information to foot traffic approaching from any direction.
Modular Systems
Build your wall. Our Panel and Pole systems allow you to link multiple boards together. You can create zig-zag displays, privacy screens, or exhibition booths of any length, making them perfect for school art shows and career fairs.
Fire Safe Options
Corridor compliant. We stock freestanding boards upholstered in fire-retardant fabric (Class 0 / BS EN 13501-1). These are essential for use in escape routes and public circulation areas within schools and hospitals.
Portrait or Landscape
Adaptable format. Many of our single freestanding boards can be mounted to the stand in either portrait or landscape orientation during assembly, giving you flexibility depending on your poster sizes.
Room Division
Create zones. At 1800mm high, our large freestanding boards act as effective office partitions. Use them to break up open-plan offices, create temporary meeting pods, or screen off areas during exams.
The Displaysense Advantage: Flexible Spaces
Displaysense is a UK Manufacturer and supplier. We know that modern workplaces and schools need to be agile.
Our freestanding noticeboards allow you to reconfigure a room in minutes. Whether you are setting up a vaccination centre, a student art gallery, or a temporary reception, our robust, UK-made boards provide the stability and flexibility you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these boards stable?
Yes. Our boards feature wide T-legs or heavy-duty castor bases designed to prevent tipping. For high-traffic areas like schools, we recommend our robust steel-framed mobile units for maximum stability.
Can I use pins and Velcro?
It depends on the fabric. Felt is best for pins. Loop Nylon is a tougher fabric compatible with both pins and Velcro hook dots. Check the product spec to see if it is "Velcro-friendly".
Do you accept School/NHS Purchase Orders?
Yes. We work extensively with the public sector. You can place orders via official Purchase Order for instant credit terms. Contact our team for assistance.
Are they easy to assemble?
Yes. Most units are delivered flat-packed and require simple assembly (usually bolting the legs to the frame/board). All tools and instructions are included, and it typically takes less than 15 minutes.
Can I move them between rooms?
Yes. Our mobile boards on castors are designed for this. Even our static leg versions are lightweight enough for two people to lift and reposition easily.
What is the difference between Mobile and Freestanding?
Mobile boards have wheels (castors) for frequent movement. Freestanding boards usually have static feet (T-legs) and are designed to stay in one place for longer periods, though they can still be moved.
Do you offer fire rated versions?
Yes. We have specific fire-resistant models suitable for use in corridors and escape routes. Please ensure you select a board marked as "Fire Rated" or "Class 0" if this is a legal requirement for your building.
Can I create a long wall of boards?
Yes. Our modular Panel and Pole systems allow you to link boards together to create a continuous display wall or partition of any length.
What sizes are available?
Common board sizes range from 1200x900mm up to 1800x1200mm. The total height including the stand is typically around 1800mm-1900mm.
Are they suitable for outdoor use?
No. These fabric boards are for indoor use only. For outdoor mobile signage, please look at our Pavement Signs collection.
