Step by Step

How to Return an Item

The whole process is handled by email. Just follow these four steps and we'll take care of the rest.

Email us to request your return

Drop us an email at help@displaysense.co.uk with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return. Please include clear photographs showing the item in its current condition and in its original packaging. This helps our team process your request quickly.

We'll review and authorise your return

Our team will check the images and confirm your return is approved. We'll reply with a return authorisation and the latest date the item needs to reach our warehouse (within the 28-day return window from your original delivery date).

Pack and send the item back to us

Repack the item securely in its original packaging and arrange a courier to return it to us. Return postage is at your own cost, and we strongly recommend using an insured, tracked courier service. Items that arrive back damaged due to inadequate packaging or transit handling cannot be refunded, so appropriate insurance protects you in case anything goes wrong on the way back. We'll confirm the return address in your authorisation email.

We inspect and process your refund

Once the item arrives at our warehouse, our team will inspect it within 3 working days. Provided everything checks out, your refund will be processed and should appear in your account within 10 working days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Packaging & Condition

To make sure we can process your return smoothly, please keep the following in mind when packing your item.

Original packaging required

Items must be returned in their original packaging. This protects the product during transit and ensures it arrives back in resaleable condition. If the original packaging has been discarded, please get in touch and we'll advise.

Keep the packaging clean

Please don't write on the product packaging itself, and don't attach labels, tape address stickers or place paperwork directly onto the box. If you need an outer label, please use an outer bag or wrap over the original packaging.

No loose paperwork inside

Please don't include invoices, notes or any additional paperwork inside the product packaging. Everything we need is linked to your order number, so there's no need to include anything extra.

Insured courier recommended

Return shipping is arranged and paid for by you. We strongly recommend using an insured, tracked courier service. We cannot issue refunds for items that are damaged in return transit, so insurance gives you full protection in case anything happens on the way back to us.

How long do I have to return an item?

You have 28 days from the date of delivery. The item must arrive back at our warehouse within this window, so please factor in posting time when arranging your return.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

Yes, return postage is at your own cost. We recommend using an insured, tracked courier service. We cannot issue refunds for items that arrive back at our warehouse damaged during return transit, so courier insurance protects you if anything goes wrong on the way back. For larger items, a courier comparison site can help you find the best rate.

What condition does the item need to be in?

The item should be unused, in its original condition and in its original packaging. Please don't write on the packaging, attach labels to it, or include any paperwork inside. If you need to add a shipping label, wrap the original packaging in an outer layer first.

How long will my refund take?

Once the item reaches our warehouse, we'll inspect it within 3 working days. If everything is in order, the refund will be processed and should appear in your account within 10 working days. The exact timing depends on your bank or payment provider.

What if my item arrived damaged or faulty?

If your item arrived damaged or is faulty, please email help@displaysense.co.uk with your order number and photographs of the damage. We'll sort it out as quickly as possible and cover any return costs where appropriate.

Can I return an item I've already assembled or used?

Items need to be returned in unused, resaleable condition. If you've assembled a product and it's not what you expected, please get in touch and we'll discuss the options.
