The Displaysense CDB55BK is a dump bin, with rust-resistant steel. It is delivered free to UK Mainland.
Clearance stock on a shelf looks like ordinary stock. Nobody stops. Put the same goods in a bin and shoppers reach in, because a bin says pile, and a pile says bargain. The CDB55BK is a large steel dump bin in black, built from open wire so the contents are on show from every side. It holds a lot without eating into aisle space, and the wire panels collapse flat when the promotion ends. Putting it together again takes seconds and no tools at all. The steel is rust resistant and finished in black, so it looks the same after a year of being knocked by trolleys as it did on day one. Best suited for supermarkets, convenience stores and pop-up shops where stock has to move quickly and the display has to go up and down with the promotion. It weighs little enough for one member of staff to carry across a shop floor and set down wherever the offer needs to be that week.
| Supermarkets and Convenience Stores | End of aisle and near the tills are where impulse buying happens. A bin of multipacks or reduced lines at those points shifts stock that would sit unnoticed on a shelf all week, and the whole display clears away again the moment the promotion is over. |
| Pop-Up Shops and Market Stalls | Space is rented by the day, and everything on the pitch has to travel. A bin that folds flat goes in a car, sets up in seconds and holds a serious volume of stock. That matters on a stall with no shelving of its own and no time to build any. |
| Discount and Variety Retail | Bulk lines and mixed goods are the whole business here, and browsing by hand is how customers shop them. Several bins in a row let people dig through stock at their own pace, and nothing has to be faced up neatly again afterwards. |
| Garden Centres and Farm Shops | Seasonal lines come and go quickly, from bulbs in autumn to compost and hanging basket kits in spring. A bin holds a run of one product and moves to wherever the season needs it, then folds away flat until the next one comes round. |
| Events, Fairs and Exhibitions | Merchandise, samples and end-of-line stock all sell better loose than stacked in a pile. A bin arrives flat in a van, goes up on site without tools, and it keeps a stand tidy while still letting visitors pick up and handle what is inside. |
| Schools, Charity Shops and Community Sales | Book sales, uniform swaps and jumble tables all work the same way, because people rummage. A bin holds the rummage neatly up off the floor where children and adults alike can get a hand in, then packs into a cupboard once the sale finishes. |
The white version of this dump bin is the same size and build with a white finish, which suits bright shop interiors, food halls and clinical settings where black reads too heavy against the flooring and fixtures around it.

Used in supermarkets, convenience stores, discount and variety retail, pop-up shops, market stalls, garden centres, farm shops, events, exhibitions, schools and charity shops for clearance lines, multipacks, seasonal stock and impulse purchases. Also available in white, and as a pack of five round dump bins with ticket holders. Displaysense, UK display specialist based in Hertfordshire since 1978.
A dump bin sells differently from a shelf. Stock on a shelf is arranged, and arranged stock looks full price. Stock in a bin is loose, and loose stock reads as a bargain long before anybody stops to check the label. That is why supermarkets have used bins for clearance lines for decades. The open wire helps as well. Shoppers see what is inside from any angle, so nobody has to walk round the display or peer over an edge to find out whether it is worth a look. That matters most at the end of an aisle, where a shopper decides in a second whether to stop or keep walking. A bin gets that second. A shelf of the same goods usually does not.
Wire is the reason a bin this size only weighs as much as a full shopping bag. A solid-sided bin of the same capacity would be heavier and would hide half the stock. Wire holds its shape, takes trolley knocks without denting badly, and lets light through so goods at the bottom are still visible. The steel is treated to resist rust, which matters in a garden centre, a farm shop or any stockroom that is cold and slightly damp. A bin that folded against a wall for half the year and out on a shop floor for the rest sees both extremes, and rust creeping along a wire edge does a bargain table no favours whatsoever.
Promotions end, and most display units then have to live somewhere. This one folds flat. The panels drop down and the bin stores against a wall or under a shelf rather than occupying a corner of the stockroom for eleven months a year. Setting it back up takes seconds. There are no bolts, no allen keys and no instruction sheet to find, so a member of staff can put one up on their own between customers. For a shop running a different offer every fortnight, that is the difference between a display that gets used and one that stays in the stockroom because setting it up is somebody else's job.
Black does a specific job on a shop floor. Most retail fixtures around a promotion are already carrying colour, from the packaging on the shelves to the signage overhead, and a display that adds more of its own competes with the stock it is meant to be selling. A dark wire frame stays out of that. It reads as structure rather than as decoration, so whatever is piled inside supplies all the interest. An A3 sign fits the display as well, which lets the price be shown in print rather than left for shoppers to work out from a shelf label further along the aisle, which is where a fair few promotions quietly lose people before they ever reach the goods.
Our pack of five round dump bins with ticket holders suits narrower aisles and works well grouped in threes or fives, where a square bin needs a clear run of floor to stand on.

CDB55BK is a large collapsible dump bin in black rust-resistant steel, supplied by Displaysense. Open wire panels on four sides show stock from every angle and fold flat for storage between promotions. Size 635mm x 635mm x 770mm. Weight 7kg. Fits an A3 sign, 297mm x 420mm. No tools are needed for assembly. Suited to supermarkets, convenience stores, discount retail, pop-up shops, market stalls, garden centres, farm shops, exhibitions, charity shops and school sales, for clearance stock, multipacks, seasonal lines and impulse purchases. A white version and a pack of five round dump bins with ticket holders are also stocked. Displaysense, UK display specialist based in Hertfordshire since 1978.
Full specification for the CDB55BK, a large collapsible dump bin in black rust-resistant steel. The table starts with capacity, signage and how the bin goes up, then covers the size, the weight, the construction and the finish, with a plain note on what each figure means on a shop floor.
| Specification | Detail | What This Means for You |
|---|---|---|
| Bin Size | 635mm wide x 635mm deep x 770mm high | Square and deep, so a large volume of stock sits on a fairly modest patch of floor, and there is still room for a trolley to pass along the aisle beside it. |
| Signage | Fits an A3 sign, 297mm x 420mm | The offer can be spelled out in print, so nobody has to pick an item up and hunt along a shelf edge for a label to work out what the deal actually is before deciding. |
| Assembly | No tools required | Sides lift up, drop into position, and the bin takes stock. One member of staff can build it on the shop floor mid-trading, with nothing to screw or bolt. |
| Storage | Collapses flat | Folds down between promotions and slides flat against a stockroom wall, instead of standing about in a corner taking up floor space for eleven months of the year. |
| Construction | Open wire on four sides | Goods are visible from all four sides, so a shopper takes in the contents while still walking towards the display, and light reaches the bottom layer rather than leaving it lost in shadow. |
| Material | Rust-resistant steel | Takes trolley knocks and damp air without pitting, which counts for a display spending half its life folded up in a cold store and the other half out on a shop floor. |
| Finish | Black | Nothing about a black frame competes with what is inside, so the goods themselves supply every bit of the colour, and a sign reads clearly against it. |
| Weight | 7kg | An empty frame is a one-person lift, so a display can be repositioned during a quiet spell without a trolley, a sack barrow or a second member of staff to help. |
| Base | Raised on feet | The bin stands clear of the floor, which keeps stock off cold tiles and leaves enough room underneath for a mop or a vacuum head to pass. |
| Loading | Open top | Stock goes in by the armful and shoppers reach in the same way, so topping up a bin takes moments even at the busiest point of a trading day. |
| Environment | Indoor | Built for shop floors, market halls, exhibition stands and stockrooms. For a promotion standing outside, choose a display made to face British weather. |
| Also Available | A white version and a pack of five round bins | White suits bright interiors and food halls. The round bins group well in threes and fives where aisles are too narrow for a square footprint. |

A bin only works if it stands in the right place with the right stock in it. Where promotional displays go, what goes in them and how the rest of the shop is laid out around them all decide whether anybody stops. These four Displaysense guides cover lifting sales, merchandising a store properly, and running a pop-up shop or a market stall so that passing trade actually turns into takings at the till.
