Full specification for the FSINEA03, a black double sided adjustable stand for information boards and poster displays. Board capacity and the height range come first, then how boards are held and the double-sided layout, before the measurements, the weight and the build. Board sizesA4 through to A0One stand covers every format across that range, so a change in campaign scale calls for a new board rather than a whole new stand and an old fixture left over in storage.
Board thicknessRigid panels up to 10mmCovers the usual rigid print materials, so a board can be ordered on whatever stock your printer runs without a special order being placed for it.
Display heightAdjusts from 1100mm to 2050mmThe pole slides up and down inside itself and locks in position, taking the board from below seated eyeline in a waiting room to clear above head height in a standing crowd. No tools involved.
FacesTwo, mounted back to backBoth directions of a corridor or an aisle get a message from a single stand, taking one square of floor between them rather than two separate positions.
Board fixingHand-adjusted clampsThey grip the edge of a rigid panel rather than sandwiching a sheet, so no frame or surround appears anywhere around the artwork itself.
Base width300mmA narrow footprint for the height being carried, so the stand fits into a corridor or an exhibition aisle without turning into an obstruction people have to walk around.
Total weight8kg, base alone over 5kgMost of that weight sits down at floor level, which is how a tall A0 board stays upright in a corridor where trolleys and wheelchairs pass close by.

FinishBlackReads as structure rather than as decoration, and everyday scuffs show up far less than they would against a bright or a polished finish.

ExclusivitySold only through DisplaysenseNowhere else carries this stand, which is why a run bought across several months still lines up as one matching set on a floor.

Most poster stands are built around one size. You buy an A1 stand, the next campaign arrives as A0, and the A1 stand ends up in a cupboard. The frame on this one slides in on itself instead, closing down from a full A0 panel to something as small as A4, so every size in between goes into the same fixture without anything being packed out or trimmed to fit. A hospital can run A3 hygiene notices through the spring and an A1 vaccination campaign by the autumn without buying a second stand in between. It also means artwork gets ordered at whatever size suits the message, rather than the size you happen to own a stand for. On a single order that is a small thing. Across a trust, a chain or a museum group buying displays year after year, it stops being small quite quickly.

Height changes what a board is for. A notice read by people sitting in a waiting room needs to be low, because they are looking slightly down at it. The same board in a packed exhibition hall needs to be up above heads or nobody sees it at all. The pole on this stand slides up and down inside itself, giving close to a metre of travel, so you set the board for the room you are actually in rather than the room the stand was designed around. The figures are in the specification, and the range runs from below seated eyeline up to well above head height on a standing adult.

The spine runs up the middle of the stand rather than behind the display, and there is a lip on either side of it. A board sits into each lip, so one stand carries two. Run the same campaign on both faces and a corridor gets the message whichever way people happen to be walking through it. Or put a different message on each face and cover two things at once. Either way you use the floor space of a single stand, because the second board sits against the first rather than needing a stand of its own. In an open hall, where visitors arrive through more than one door, that is the difference between everybody seeing the message and half the room walking past the blank side of a board.

The stand arrives on its own. Boards are bought separately, which is worth knowing before you order, and it is also why the clamps accept such a spread of materials. Whatever a trade printer runs rigid work on will go in them, so you keep the supplier you already deal with rather than being tied to one stock. Because the clamps hold a panel by its edge instead of trapping a sheet between two layers, no frame appears around the artwork at all. Sold only through Displaysense, so a second stand ordered next year matches the first exactly rather than nearly.

Need a Smaller Stand for Menus or Notices?

Where the display is A4 rather than A0, the A4 snap frame poster stand in black takes a printed sheet behind a cover on a slimmer pole, which suits a reception desk, a counter end or a narrow corridor better than a full-size board stand.

Questions About This Double Sided Board Stand

What is the best double sided poster stand for an NHS site or exhibition?
The best double sided poster stand for an NHS site or an exhibition is the FSINEA03, a black steel stand taking rigid boards from A4 to A0. Two boards mount back to back, the pole sets height between 1100mm and 2050mm, and a weighted base holds a large board upright in a busy corridor.
Are the boards included with the stand?
No. The stand is supplied on its own and the boards are bought separately. That is worth knowing before ordering, and the same separation is why the clamps take so many materials. Foamex, foam board, acrylic panels and heavy card all hold the same way, so you can print with whoever you already use.
What height does the stand adjust between?
From 1100mm up to 2050mm. The lower end sits below the eyeline of somebody seated in a waiting room, and the upper end lifts a board clear above head height in a crowded hall. The pole slides by hand and holds where you set it, so the height changes between a morning clinic and an afternoon exhibition.
Is this stand suitable for a hospital or a clinic?
Yes, and healthcare is among the main uses. Hygiene guidance, vaccination dates and department directions all change through the year, and a rigid board wipes down at the end of a shift where a paper sheet simply cannot. The weighted base matters in corridors where trolleys and wheelchairs pass within inches of the plate.
Can exhibition and event organisers use this on a stand floor?
Yes. A stand out in open floor, approached from several directions at once, is exactly where two faces pay off. Lifting the board above head height also keeps the artwork readable once a hall fills up, and the base takes no more floor space than a narrow strip against a wall would.
How do the boards fix to the stand?
Hand-adjusted clamps grip the edge of the panel itself. They widen and close without any tools involved, so a board goes on or comes off again in moments. Because they hold an edge rather than sandwiching a sheet, no frame or surround appears around the artwork, which suits gallery, museum and showroom settings particularly well.
What board sizes and thicknesses will the clamps take?
Any rigid board from A4 through to A0, in thicknesses of up to 10mm. Foamex, acrylic, foam board and heavy card are the usual choices among trade printers. The stand does not take a loose paper poster, which needs a snap frame or a poster case to hold the sheet flat and square instead.
How does this compare with a snap frame poster stand?
This one clamps a rigid board, which gives a frameless edge and takes any size from A4 to A0 on the same fixture. The FSFA3LPBK holds a paper sheet behind a cover in a fixed A3 frame. Choose this stand for printed boards that change size, and the snap frame stand for paper at one size.
Do I need a double sided stand or a single sided one?
It depends where the stand goes. Against a wall or in an alcove, one face is all anybody sees and a second board is wasted. Out in open floor, in the middle of a corridor or on an exhibition stand, half the passing traffic approaches from behind and sees nothing without a second board.
How much floor space does the base take?
The base is 300mm wide, narrow for the height being carried. That fits a corridor, an alcove or an exhibition aisle without becoming something people have to walk around. The weight sits low in the plate, so a tall board stays upright rather than needing the footprint of a table.
Is this stand exclusive to Displaysense?
Yes. No other retailer stocks this stand, so an NHS trust, a museum group or a retail chain fitting out across several months receives the identical stand each time an order goes in. One bought a year after the first matches exactly, rather than arriving as a near equivalent from somewhere else.
Does this display stand come with free UK delivery?
Yes, this stand ships free of charge to any UK mainland address, with returns open for 28 days after delivery. Trading since 1978, Displaysense supplies NHS trusts, exhibition organisers, retailers, museums, schools and local councils the length of the country, from single orders through to multi-site rollouts.

Footfall, Branding and Merchandising a Space

A board is only worth the floor it stands on if people stop long enough to read it. Where the stand goes, what the artwork says and how the space around it is laid out all decide that between them. These four Displaysense guides cover drawing footfall in, branding a space consistently, merchandising a floor and lifting sales once people are actually through the door and looking around.
