The Displaysense DTK400BK black glass storage display cabinet does two things within a 400mm footprint. Above: a full-height illuminated glass display with three adjustable shelves and 9 integrated LEDs. Below: a lockable 500mm base storage compartment with its own independent key, completely concealed behind solid panels. At 400mm wide and 1800mm tall in a black aluminium frame, it is the narrowest model in the black DTK storage range. It fits the gaps that no wider cabinet can reach: architectural recesses, the space between existing furniture, beside a door frame, at the end of a retail run. A single hinged door, high-contrast finish, and two independent locks in a footprint no larger than a single shelf unit.
The black aluminium frame at 400mm creates a precise vertical accent that draws the eye upward. Against pale walls the contrast is deliberate: the illuminated display inside reads sharply against the dark surround. The 9 integrated 6400K daylight LED spotlights (one overhead, eight side-mounted) illuminate every shelf level evenly regardless of configuration, producing clean daylight light that renders true colour with no warm cast. At a narrow width where the frame occupies a significant proportion of the visible surface, a black finish makes the lit interior the entire focus.
The base storage compartment locks independently from the display section above. Each has its own key. In a salon, a boutique, a reception area or an exhibition stand, this means display stock is visible while backup stock, accessories, packaging or operational materials stay locked and concealed directly below. At 400mm the storage capacity is practical for the kinds of items that belong immediately to hand at the display: restocking is a matter of unlocking the base, not a trip to a separate stockroom.
The three 5mm tempered glass shelves sit on a continuous rod track through the full height of the display section. Any shelf sets to any position and locks without tools. Remove all three to use the full column height for a single tall piece. The single hinged door opens the full interior width in one movement, secured by a key lock with two keys supplied. Levelling feet ensure stability on uneven floor surfaces.
Fire tested to BS 5852:2006 Section 12 across the complete assembled unit. The certificate is available to download immediately for procurement and compliance teams. The DTK400BK is the narrowest black-framed model in the DTK storage display range. At 400mm wide it occupies a footprint no other black DTK model can match, while carrying the same display section specification (glass, rod shelf system, fire compliance) as the wider models.
