A: Five 5mm tempered glass shelves run on a continuous rod track the full interior height of the cabinet. Slide any shelf to any height and it locks in position. There are no predefined holes or fixed increments. Every height is available. Remove all five shelves entirely to open the full 1800mm column for floor-standing pieces or tall installations. Reconfigure in minutes when the product range changes, the season turns or items of significantly different sizes need accommodating.
Q: Why black instead of silver?
A: The black frame absorbs ambient light and creates contrast. Items appear to float against a dark ground. Black suits galleries, dark interiors, hospitality environments and collector rooms. The silver version is available for lighter settings. Both share identical dimensions and specification.
Q: Is this freestanding?
A: Yes. At 59.51kg the cabinet stands without wall-fixing. A single person can move it into position on delivery day. Plan the final location in advance so it only needs to be moved once. Once placed, the cabinet does not shift or flex.
Q: What type of glass is used?
A: All surrounding panels use 4mm toughened glass. The shelves use 5mm tempered glass, which is thicker because they carry product weight under continuous daily load. Toughened glass is the commercial-grade specification for display cabinets in public environments.
Q: How do the LED spotlights work?
A: Ten 6400K daylight spotlights are built permanently into the black aluminium frame. They cover the full 800mm width and every shelf level without hot spots or dark corners. The 6400K colour temperature renders accurate, true colour with no warm cast, which matters for jewellery, watches, merchandise and any items where colour accuracy affects the customer's perception of quality.
Q: Can I add more shelves?
A: Yes. Contact us after purchase and we will provide the exact 5mm tempered glass cutting dimensions for a local glazier. Additional shelf support rods are available from us separately.

A: Yes. The DTS range runs from 400mm to 1200mm in both black and silver finishes. The next size up is the 1000mm black for more shelf width at the same specification. All widths share the same fire certification, infinite-position rod track, toughened glass construction and integrated 6400K LED lighting.

"One big gripe - those lights are very difficult to screw in. I had to get a flat screwdriver and twist it horizontally to widen the gap, just to get them started. Also the glass shelves sag under their own weight. Other than that it looks good."
