A Tall Single-Sided Feather Flag on a Weighted Plate

Some spaces have height to spare but very little floor to give, and where a display backs onto a wall only its front is read, so the FF3200SF takes a tall, slim feather and prints a single face to win height without eating into the floor or the budget. The narrow blade climbs high on a glass fibre pole whose curved top holds it out, seated in a weighted square plate that rests on the ground and needs nothing fixed. The printed front carries the whole design, and the reverse shows only a faint mirror that no one sees against a wall. Set the plate down, raise the pole, and a tall vertical line of branding stands in a footprint barely wider than the blade. Best suited for tall foyers, atrium edges and exhibition stand corners where ceilings are high, floor width is tight and the flag faces one way.

Why This Feather Display Gains Height Without Width

  • Tall reach on a slim footprint: The blade climbs well above head height while the base takes barely more floor than the pole, so it claims attention up high in a foyer or a hall corner where a wide flag would block the space it stands in.
  • One face printed, all of it forward: The full design runs up the front of the blade, crisp and the right way round, while the back keeps only a faint mirror. Set against a wall or a stand panel, the flag shows that clean front alone, so the print budget lands on the side that gets seen.
  • Cheaper than a double-sided blade: Printing one face costs less than two, so for a tall, one-direction spot you pay only for the side that works and can raise a flag at more corners or entrances for the same money.
  • A weighted plate, nothing to fix: A heavy square steel base holds the tall blade by its own mass, sitting on the floor with nothing drilled, staked or parked on it. Rest it on a level surface, drop the pole into the socket, and the height stands steady indoors.
  • A tapering shape that holds its print: The curved pole top pulls the blade out along its full length, so the front graphic stays open and upright in the still air indoors, where a loose banner would hang flat against its pole and read as nothing.
  • Splits down, packs away: The pole breaks into sections and the blade rolls into the bag supplied, while the plate lifts easily, so one person raises it or moves it without tools. Manufacturing faults are covered by a 1 year guarantee.

Where This Tall One-Sided Banner Earns Its Place

Tall Foyers and Atrium Edges Fills the height of a double-height foyer or the edge of an atrium where there is air above but little floor below. The blade rises into the open space, the front faces the approach, and the weighted plate holds it without taking up walking room.
Exhibition Stand Corners Marks a stand from across the hall by standing tall in a corner against the stand wall. Only the front shows to the aisle, so a single face is all it needs, and the slim base tucks into the corner without stealing display floor.
Narrow Halls and Corridors Lifts a sign high in a long, narrow hall or a corridor where a broad flag would crowd the route. The tall blade reads over the heads of a moving crowd, the front faces the flow, and the plate keeps the gangway clear.
High Window and Glazed Fronts Stands inside a tall window or a glazed entrance, filling the height behind the glass with the front to the street. The plate holds the blade upright on the display floor, and the slim shape suits a window with more height than width.
Reception and Lobby Walls Rises beside a reception desk or against a lobby wall to carry branding up where it is seen on arrival. The back sits to the wall, the tall front reads across the room, and the weighted base moves in seconds as the layout changes.
Event and Stage Surrounds Frames a stage or dresses an event edge with height where floor space is committed elsewhere. The single printed face suits the one-way audience view, and the narrow blade stands tall without crowding the performance area.

Taking It Outside?

This weighted plate is made for hard, sheltered floors. Where the blade is heading outdoors, the same tall feather is offered with a ground spike base for grass, or with a drive-on car base that a vehicle wheel holds down on a forecourt, giving you the same blade and print on a footing made for the ground.

Seen from both sides? A double-sided version prints a correct graphic on both faces. Call 01279460460 or message the team for a hand choosing.

FF3200SF is a 3.2m single-sided glass fibre feather flag from Displaysense, a tall, slim blade supplied with a 10.5kg square steel plate base and printing on one face. Its differentiator is a high vertical blade on a minimal floor width, with a single printed face for one-direction viewing, held standing by a weighted plate and no stake or vehicle. Height 3200mm, width 605mm. Base weight 10.5kg. A printed graphic of 605mm x 2620mm sits on the front face, with a soft mirror image showing through to the back. Mounted on a glass fibre pole with a GRP whip curving the top, a polyester flag and a steel plate base; inner pole diameter 16.8mm. Holds in winds to 45 kph (28 mph), Beaufort Scale 6. Stood upright by hand in about two minutes, with a carry bag and a 1 year guarantee in the box. Suited to tall foyers, atrium edges, exhibition stand corners, narrow halls and high windows. A double-sided version for two-way viewing, a ground spike base for grass, and a drive-on car base for forecourts, are also available. Displaysense, UK display product specialists since 1978.

A single-sided flag is printed on the front of the polyester only. Because the cloth is one layer, light brings a softened, mirror-image version through to the reverse. Where the blade stands against a wall, a stand panel or a window, the front is the only side an onlooker reads, so a single print delivers the same tall impact for less than covering both faces would cost.

A feather is a tall, tapering blade, not a rounded sail. Its straight leading edge sleeves over the pole, and a curved whip at the top draws the trailing edge out so the blade holds a high, upright line. Held that way the front graphic stays open and readable in the motionless air of a hall, where a loose banner would fall flat against the pole. The mast is glass fibre, fine glass threads cured in resin into a light, springy pole, tipped with a GRP whip that bends in a breeze. Across the whole range the inner pole diameter is 16.8mm, so fittings carry over between flags.

Down at floor level, a square steel plate does the standing by weight alone. It sits flat on the floor and the pole drops into a central socket, so the mass of the base keeps the full height upright with nothing drilled, staked in or parked on top. Since the hold is only weight on a level surface, it works on hard floors indoors or under cover; on grass a ground spike grips instead, and on a forecourt a drive-on car base carries it.

Dye sublimation drives the colour in, a heat process that turns the inks to vapour and sinks them into the polyester so they dye the cloth instead of sitting on the surface. Set that way the front graphic keeps its colour under hall lighting and rolls down between uses without flaking. The front face is printed across an area of 605mm by 2620mm, a tall narrow shape that suits the high blade. Send the artwork over, the front is printed for you, and the flag goes together by hand in about two minutes.

Specification Detail What This Means for You
Total Height 3200mm (3.2m) A tall feather that lifts branding well above heads and stands, seen across a foyer or a hall while resting on a single small plate base.
Width 605mm The slimmest blade in the range, so all of that height arrives on a narrow footprint that slots into a corner, an edge, or a tight window space.
Display Type Single-sided The front holds the whole design and the back just a faint mirror, so it costs less than a double-sided print and best suits a one-way view.
Printed Graphic Size 605mm x 2620mm, front face A tall, narrow canvas up the front of the blade. Build your artwork to this size and the printed front comes back ready to raise.
Pole Material Glass fibre with GRP whip Tall but giving, never rigid. The whip curves the top to hold the blade out, and the pole flexes in a draught then springs back upright.
Inner Pole Diameter 16.8mm The shared fitting across the whole flag range, so poles, bases and spares interchange with all the other feather and teardrop flags you run.
Base 10.5kg square steel plate base A weighted plate that holds the tall blade by mass alone on a flat, hard floor, with no stake or vehicle to set. For soft grass, a ground spike is the choice.
Base Weight 10.5kg Enough mass to hold the full 3.2m height steady indoors, while one person can still lift and carry the base into place in a single trip.
Flag Material Polyester, dye-sublimation printed The colour sinks into the fibres rather than resting on top, so the front holds its brightness under hall lighting and rolls away without flaking.
Wind Resistance Up to 45 kph (28 mph), Beaufort 6 The flexing blade spills a draught or a sheltered breeze rather than toppling. Outdoors and exposed, a spike or car base is the steadier footing.
Assembly No-tool, around 2 minutes One person raises the full height in a couple of minutes, with nothing at all to screw or bolt; the pole simply seats into the plate socket.
In the Box Flag, square plate base, carry bag, 1 year guarantee The flag, its 10.5kg plate and a carry bag travel together in one box, covered against manufacturing faults for a full year after delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions About This 3.2m Single-Sided Feather Flag

Q: What is the best tall feather flag for a high-ceilinged foyer or atrium?

A: The FF3200SF is a 3.2m single-sided feather flag built for tall indoor spaces. It stands 3200mm high on a slim 605mm blade, lifting branding above a crowd in a foyer or atrium, and a 10.5kg steel plate holds it upright on a hard floor with no stake or fixing. The narrow footprint leaves walking room clear below.

Q: Can an advertising flag stand on a hard floor without a stake or screws?

A: Yes. A single-sided plate advertising flag stands by weight alone, anchored by a flat 10.5kg steel base. The plate rests on a level floor and the pole seats into a socket at its centre, so nothing is screwed or driven into the floor. The whole display lifts off and relocates in seconds.

Q: What does the back of a single-sided printed flag look like?

A: A single-sided printed flag carries the design on the front face only, so the back shows a faint, reversed shadow of it that bleeds through the single layer of fabric. The banner is made to stand with that back against a wall, a stand panel or glass, where only the sharp printed front is read.

Q: Does a feather banner work in an exhibition stand corner?

A: Yes. A tall single-sided feather banner suits a stand corner because it backs onto the stand wall and shows only its printed front to the aisle. The 10.5kg plate stands freely on the hall floor without fixing, the 3.2m height reads from across the hall, and the slim blade keeps the stand floor clear.

Q: How can I get height from a display flag where there is no floor space for a wide one?

A: A blade-shaped feather flag is tall and narrow, so it gives height on a minimal footprint. At 3200mm high and just 605mm wide, this single-sided display fills the airspace of a corner, an edge or a tight hall where a broad sail would have nowhere to stand.

Q: How long does it take to set up a 3.2m promotional flag, and can one person do it?

A: One person sets up a 3.2m promotional flag in about two minutes by hand, with no tools. The pole sections join, the printed front slides up the blade, and the pole seats into the plate. At 10.5kg the base is light enough to carry into place in a single trip.

Q: How tall is the flag, how wide is it, and what size is the printed area?

A: This single-sided flying banner stands 3200mm (3.2m) tall on a 605mm-wide blade. The front face is printed across 605mm x 2620mm, the size to supply artwork at. The tall, slim shape reads over heads in a foyer or hall rather than up close beside a desk.

Q: What is the difference between the single-sided FF3200SF and the double-sided FF3200DF?

A: The FF3200SF and FF3200DF are the same 3.2m feather flag on the same 10.5kg plate; only the printing differs. The single-sided version prints the front and leaves a faint mirror on the back, costing less and made for a flag against a wall. The double-sided version prints a correct, forward-reading graphic on both faces for viewing from either direction. Choose single-sided for a one-way spot and double-sided where both sides are seen.

Q: When should I choose a single-sided banner instead of double-sided?

A: Choose single-sided whenever the banner is seen from one direction only. Against a wall, in a corner or behind glass the reverse is hidden, so one printed face delivers the full front impact for less than a double-sided print. Where a crowd passes the display on both sides, double-sided is worth the higher cost.

Q: Is a 10.5kg base heavy enough to hold a 3.2m flag, and what wind can it take?

A: Indoors, a 10.5kg plate holds the 3.2m blade firmly in normal interior air and passing draughts. The flag is rated to winds of 45 kph (28 mph), Beaufort Scale 6. For exposed outdoor use, where wind load on a tall blade is higher, a ground spike in grass or a wheel-held car base is the steadier footing.

Q: Is UK delivery free, and what comes in the box?

A: Yes, free UK mainland delivery is standard. The box contains the printed flag on its front face, a 10.5kg square steel plate base and a carry bag, covered by a 1 year guarantee. Displaysense has supplied display products to UK businesses since 1978 and ships from Hertfordshire.

Q: Does this feather banner come in other heights, double-sided, or for outdoor use?

A: Yes. The same feather design is made in shorter heights for doorways and low ceilings, and a double-sided version prints both faces. For outdoor use, a ground spike anchors it in grass and a drive-on car base holds it on a forecourt, each replacing the 10.5kg plate.

Guides for Feather Flags and Standing Out Up High

A tall single-sided feather flag is a low-cost way to own the airspace in a foyer or a hall corner, but where you stand it and what it carries decide how far it reaches. The guides below look at catching the eye at events, standing out on a busy exhibition stand, and matching the format to the setting, so your flag draws the room rather than fading into the height above it.

Description

FAQs

Description

Stood upright by hand in about two minutes, with a carry bag and a 1 year guarantee in the box. Suited to tall foyers, atrium edges, exhibition stand corners, narrow halls and high windows.

FAQs
