A Mid-Height Single-Sided Teardrop Flag on a Weighted Plate

Most rooms do not need a five-metre flag, and where the display backs onto a wall or a counter only the front is ever read, so the TF3200SF matches a practical mid height with a single printed face to keep the spend sensible. A rounded sail rises from a curved glass fibre pole seated in a weighted square plate that simply rests on the floor, standing the flag upright with nothing fixed down. The front carries the full design, while the back shows a soft mirror of it that goes unseen against a wall. At three metres it clears desks and shelving without crowding a normal ceiling, then folds away when the display changes. Best suited for shop aisles, reception areas and exhibition stands where the flag faces one way and the ceiling is a standard height.

Why This Teardrop Display Suits a One-Way Indoor Spot

  • One face printed, nothing wasted: The full design goes on the front, crisp and forward-reading, while the back keeps only a faint mirror of it. Backed onto a wall, a counter or an aisle end, the flag shows the clean front alone, so the print budget lands where it is actually seen.
  • Costs less than a double-sided flag: A single printed face is cheaper to produce than two, so for a one-direction spot you spend on the impact you use and can kit out more aisles or more stores for the same outlay.
  • A weighted plate, no fixing needed: A heavy square steel base anchors the flag by its own mass, sitting on the floor with nothing drilled, staked or parked on it. Rest it on a level surface, drop the pole into the socket, and the mid-height flag stands steady indoors.
  • A height that fits a normal room: At three metres it lifts a brand above counters, rails and heads to read down an aisle, yet stays clear of a standard ceiling or doorway where a taller flag would not go.
  • A rounded sail that reads in still air: The curved pole holds the teardrop taut, so the front graphic stays open and legible in the dead-still air of a shop or hall, where a flat banner would sag against its pole and disappear.
  • Light to move, quick to pack: The pole breaks into sections and the fabric rolls into the bag supplied, while the plate carries easily, so one person repositions it without tools. Each flag comes with a 1 year guarantee on manufacturing faults.

Where This One-Sided Banner Fits Indoors

Shop Aisles and Retail Ends Flags a range or an offer at the end of an aisle where the back faces the shelving. Only the front reads to shoppers down the aisle, so a single face is all it needs, and the weighted plate shifts in seconds as the layout moves.
Reception and Welcome Areas Stands beside a reception desk or against a lobby wall to greet visitors arriving from one direction. The plate rests on the floor with nothing fixed, the mid height suits a normal ceiling, and the single front face carries the branding cleanly.
Exhibition Stand Backs and Corners Marks a stand from the aisle where the flag sits against the stand wall or in a corner. The reverse is hidden, so one printed face does the job, and the plate stands free on the hall floor without bolting it down.
Counters and Service Points Points customers to a till, a desk or a service counter from the shop floor. The flag backs onto the counter so only the front shows, the mid height reads over the queue, and it lifts away cleanly at the close of trade.
Shopfront and Window Displays Stands inside a window facing the street, with the front selling to passers-by and the back against the glass. The weighted base holds it on the display floor, and three metres fills a typical shopfront without touching the head of the window.
Foyers and Waiting Areas Directs people to a room, a desk or an event from a foyer wall or pillar. The single face is read on the approach, the plate needs only to rest in place, and the height carries the message over a seated or standing crowd.

Using It Outside?

The weighted plate suits hard, sheltered floors. Where the flag is going outdoors, the same mid-height teardrop is offered with a ground spike base for grass, or with a drive-on car base that a vehicle wheel holds down on a forecourt, giving you the same sail and print on a footing made for the ground.

Need it read from both sides? A double-sided version carries a correct graphic on both faces. Call 01279460460 or message the team and we will point you to the right one.

TF3200SF is a 3m single-sided glass fibre teardrop flag from Displaysense, a mid-height display supplied with a 10.5kg square steel plate base and printing on one face. Its differentiator is a freestanding teardrop with a single printed face for one-direction viewing, held upright by a weighted plate with no stake or vehicle. Height 3000mm, width 698mm. Base weight 10.5kg. A printed graphic of 698mm x 2067mm sits on the front face, with a soft mirror image showing through to the back. Carried on a glass fibre pole capped with a GRP whip, a polyester flag and a steel plate base; inner pole diameter 16.8mm. Stays up in winds to 45 kph (28 mph), Beaufort Scale 6. Stood up in about two minutes by hand, with a carry bag and a 1 year guarantee in the box. Suited to receptions, retail aisles, exhibition stands, counters and shopfront windows. A double-sided print is also offered, with a ground spike base for soft ground, and a drive-on car base for hard outdoor surfaces are also available. Displaysense, UK display product specialists since 1978.

Printing a flag on one face puts the design on the front of the polyester only. Because the cloth is a single layer, light carries a softened, mirror-image version of it through to the reverse. Where the flag is set against a wall, a counter or a window, the front is the only side anyone reads, so a single print delivers the same impact for less than covering both faces would cost, putting the budget on the side that is read.

Shaped as a rounded sail, the teardrop is drawn tight by a pole that curves over its top edge. Held under that tension, the front graphic stays open and readable even in the still air of a shop or a foyer, where a flat rectangular banner would hang slack against the pole. The mast is glass fibre, fine glass strands set in resin for a light, springy pole, and it is capped with a GRP whip that gives in a draught. Across the range the inner pole diameter is a common 16.8mm, so fittings interchange between flags, letting you mix poles, bases and spares across a set without hunting for matching parts.

Underneath, a square steel plate does the standing through weight alone. It sits flat on the floor and the pole drops into a central socket, so the mass of the base keeps the mid height upright with nothing drilled, staked in or parked on top. Because the hold comes from weight on a level surface, it belongs on hard floors indoors or under cover; out on grass a ground spike grips instead, and on a forecourt a drive-on car base takes over, held down by the weight of a parked vehicle.

Colour is fixed into the fabric by dye sublimation, a heat process that turns the inks to gas and sinks them into the polyester so they stain the cloth rather than coat the surface. Set that way the front graphic keeps its colour under shop or hall lighting and rolls down between uses without cracking. The front face is printed across an area of 698mm by 2067mm. Send the artwork over, the front is produced for you, and the flag stands up by hand in about two minutes.

Specification Detail What This Means for You
Total Height 3000mm (3m) A mid height that clears counters, rails and heads to read down an aisle, while staying under a standard shop or office ceiling and clear of doorways.
Width 698mm A rounded sail that carries a clear front graphic on a small floor footprint, so it marks a spot without crowding the aisle or the desk beside it.
Display Type Single-sided The front holds the full design and the back only a faint mirror, so it costs less than a double-sided print and suits a flag with a one-way view.
Printed Graphic Size 698mm x 2067mm, front face A full-shape canvas on the front face. Set your artwork to this size and the printed front comes back ready to raise straight onto the weighted plate.
Pole Material Glass fibre with GRP whip Whippy, not stiff. The curved pole draws the sail taut, and the GRP whip lets it give in a draught and spring back straight and upright.
Inner Pole Diameter 16.8mm A common fitting across the whole flag range, so poles, bases and spares swap freely with the other teardrop and feather flags in your kit.
Base 10.5kg square steel plate base A weighted plate that holds the flag by mass alone on a flat, hard floor, with no stake or vehicle to set up. For grass, the ground spike version is the one to pick.
Base Weight 10.5kg Enough mass to hold the full 3m height steady on a hard floor, light enough for one person to lift and carry the base into place.
Flag Material Polyester, dye-sublimation printed The colour stains the fibres rather than coating them, so the front stays bright under shop lighting and rolls away between uses without cracking.
Wind Resistance Up to 45 kph (28 mph), Beaufort 6 The flexing mast lets a draught or a sheltered breeze slip past rather than toppling over. For an exposed outdoor pitch, a spike or car base holds steadier.
Assembly No-tool, around 2 minutes One person stands it in a couple of minutes, with nothing to screw or bolt; the pole just drops into the plate socket.
In the Box Flag, square plate base, carry bag, 1 year guarantee The flag, its 10.5kg plate and a carry bag come boxed together, covered against manufacturing faults for a full year from the delivery date.

Frequently Asked Questions About This 3m Single-Sided Teardrop Flag

Q: What is a good mid-height single-sided teardrop flag for a shop or reception?

A: The TF3200SF works well, a 3m teardrop printed on one face. The height clears counters and rails to read down an aisle yet still fits a normal ceiling, the 10.5kg plate holds it free on a hard floor with no stake, and the single printed face keeps the cost down where the back is turned to a wall or to the shelving.

Q: What holds the flag upright without a stake?

A: Its own weight, through a flat 10.5kg steel plate. The plate sits on a level floor and the pole drops into a socket at its centre, so the mass alone keeps the flag standing. With nothing drilled, staked or parked on the base, it stands loose and lifts straight off to move or store.

Q: What is on the reverse of a single-sided flag?

A: The reverse carries a softened, mirror-image version of the front design, lighter than the printed face and reading the wrong way round. It is meant for flags set against a wall, a counter or a window, where the back is hidden, or simply not the side that customers read.

Q: Is this outdoor marketing display suitable for retail aisles and counters?

A: Yes. A shop stands it at an aisle end or beside a counter, with the back to the shelving and the front reading to the floor. The weighted plate rests in place with nothing fixed, the mid height reads over the queue or the rails, and a single printed face is really all that a one-way spot needs.

Q: Will three metres fit under a normal ceiling?

A: Yes. At 3m it clears counters, rails and heads to read across a room, while staying below a standard shop or office ceiling and clear of most doorways. A taller flag suits a hall or an atrium, while this mid height is made for everyday shop and office interiors.

Q: Can one person set it up quickly?

A: Yes, around two minutes by hand. Push the pole sections together, slide the printed front over them, and stand the pole in the plate. The 10.5kg base lifts easily into place, so one person takes it from carry bag to standing flag without tools.

Q: What height is it, and what size is the front print?

A: It stands 3000mm, around 3m, a mid height in the teardrop range. The front face is printed across 698mm x 2067mm, the size to set your artwork at. At that height it reads across a shop or a foyer while still fitting under a standard ceiling and through most doorways.

Q: What is the difference between the single-sided TF3200SF and double-sided TF3200DF?

A: Both are the same 3m teardrop on the same 10.5kg plate, so the print is the difference. The TF3200SF prints one face and shows a faint mirror on the back, which costs less to produce and suits a flag set against a wall. The double-sided TF3200DF prints a correct graphic on each face for viewing from both directions. Pick single-sided for a one-way spot and double-sided for the open.

Q: When should I pick single-sided over double-sided?

A: Whenever only one side is seen. Against a wall, a counter, a window or a stand panel the reverse is out of view, so a single printed face gives the same front impact for less than double-sided. Where people pass on both sides in the open, double-sided is the one to choose.

Q: Will the plate hold a 3m flag steady?

A: On a level indoor floor, yes. The 10.5kg plate is sized to the 3m height for normal interior conditions and the odd draught. Outdoors the wind load climbs, so a ground spike driven into grass or a vehicle-held car base gives a firmer hold in the open.

Q: Is UK mainland delivery free on this teardrop flag?

A: Yes. UK mainland delivery is free of charge. Displaysense has supplied display products to UK businesses since 1978 from its Hertfordshire base. The flag arrives printed and ready to build, with the 10.5kg plate and carry bag packed in the same box.

Q: Is it made in other sizes, double-sided, or for outdoors?

A: Yes. The teardrop comes in a taller height for halls and atriums, and a double-sided version prints both faces. To take it outdoors, a ground spike anchors it in grass and a drive-on car base holds it on a forecourt, each in place of the weighted plate.

Guides for Teardrop Flags and In-Store Impact

A single-sided teardrop flag is an inexpensive way to claim a sightline in a shop or a foyer, but the spot you choose and the message you fly decide how many people it turns. The guides below look at catching the eye at events, standing out on a busy exhibition stand, and matching the format to the setting, so your flag pulls people over rather than blending into the fixtures.

FAQs
